Dr. Shawn Talbott recently visited Hawaii’s KHON2 to discuss our “two brains” and how we can eat the right foods to feel better overall. He explains that we need to consume nutritious foods along with specialized supplements for optimal gut health. When eating for a healthy gut, Dr. Shawn says we should focus on three food areas: fermented (healthy bacteria that feed the microbiome), high fiber (feed the bacteria in our gut) and high phytonutrient foods (protect the bacteria in our gut).
