IRVINE, CA, AUGUST 05, 2020 —The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted families in unprecedented ways. One major area of disruption has been meals for children. The rhythm for many was to have lunches for children provided by the schools they attended. That has been disrupted by school closures across the country, creating an increased need to provide meals for children. Learning of this, Amare Global — The Mental Wellness Company, reached out to Feed the Children, a leading hunger-relief organization specializing in meeting this need.
“As we learned of the urgent need for children to have adequate meals during this pandemic, we knew in our hearts that we could not stand by without taking action. Not knowing where your next meal will come from increases stress, pressure, and uncertainty for families,” said Hiep Tran, Amare’s Founder. “As The Mental Wellness Company, we are grateful to partner with Feed the Children and do our part to ease some stress for families.”
In June, Amare’s contribution provided 81,216 meals for children in the United States. With the next school year beginning soon and many districts continuing to practice distance learning, Amare has decided to commit to a second contribution. The goal is to exceed the prior contribution the second time around.
